Google has announced that users can view, access, and export their historical data in Universal Analytics (UA) 3 till July 1, 2024. After this, Google won’t add any data to UA 3.

An Ex-Googler, and content creator for Google Analytics, Krista Seiden, tweeted that GA 4 will replace UA 3 by July 1, 2023, the deadline. After this, there won’t be any data processed for Universal Analytics 3 for free users. However, they can view and export their historical data until July 1, 2024.

Google updated its help page with additional information. Here are the crucial points:

1. On July 1, 2023, after the platform turndown, there’ll be –
2. a) No new data collection
3. b) No latest reports
4. c) No data transmission related to bid, audience, or conversion to Google Ads or third-party integrations.
5. Users will only have view access, so they cannot edit. However, previous data export will be available till July 1, 2024.
6. Users with Universal Analytics 360 contracts can continue to create regular Universal Analytics properties and upgrade them to 360 to enable data processing.

You can view previous data in UA 3, not GA 4 because the data migration is impossible since it will gauge differently in Google Analytics 4.

So the countdown has already started, and Google is in no mood to extend these dates.
